Sara Schalliol-Hodge is a designer and maker of things. Originally from North Georgia, she attended the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, GA, receiving a BFA in Industrial Design. Sara has designed a broad range of products- everything from furniture and lighting, to backpacking coffee-makers and airplane lavatories. Having a front row seat to mass-production processes caused Sara to become interested in expressing her views of production and consumption through a fine art media: printmaking! After moving to Anchorage in June 2009, Sara has been exploring Alaskan themes (in her own way, of course) with her woodcuts and linocuts.
